The Paradigm Shift
I have just found this link to a great discussion of what is the paradigm shift; I hope you find it useful.introduction-to-collaborative-law
I have been a lawyer since 1982 and am an accredited family law specialist. In 2009 I was awarded a Masters in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management by the University of South Australia. I have been a Collaborative practitioner since 2008. I am an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and am an accredited mediator. I am committed to developing Adelaide's first dedicated collabortive practice. I believe everything matters and seek to do no harm.I strive to help clients resolve their differences justly and equitably without the need for litigation.
Collaborative Practice is a new way for you to resolve disputes respectfully without going to court. The heart of Collaborative Practice is to offer you and your spouse or partner the support, protection, and guidance of your own lawyers without going to court. Additionally, Collaborative Divorce allows you the benefit of child and financial specialists, divorce coaches and other professionals all working together on your team. The core elements of Collaborative Practice that form your contractual commitments are to:
Negotiate a mutually acceptable settlement without having courts decide issues.
Maintain open communication and information sharing.
Create shared solutions acknowledging the highest priorities of all.
